Orthodontic preparation for composite bonding of small and/or narrow teeth

In patients who have small teeth, ideal proportions between the teeth can be achieved with composite bonding, a restorative resin filling material. The resin material matches and blends with the shade of the natural teeth giving the appearance of naturally looking larger teeth.

The orthodontic treatment positioned the small teeth in the middle of the space so the composite bonding can be done on each side (left and right) of the tooth. This allows for optimal gum aesthetics, provides the best possible shape for the tooth and is more hygienic than having composite resin on one side only. The small upper left and right lateral incisors were build up.
