Patient presented with a small upper jaw and a protrusive lower jaw. Due to the incorrect bite, he presented with speach and masticatory difficulties. The edges of the upper front teeth were worn down. The upper and lower teeth were prepared with ceramic upper and lower fixed appliances for double-jaw(orthognathic) surgery with a view to correcting the facial asymmetry, improving the facial profile and correcting his bite. The worn down upper central and lateral incisors are planned to be built up with composite resin by the patient's dentist after a brief course of tooth-whitening. Our patient was elated with the overall improvement including the transformation of his facial appearance, smile and occlusion.Acknowledgement: The orthognathic surgery was done by Mr Manolis Heliotis, Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, 152 Harley street, London, W1G 7LH.
